Loading on Pinchot Court
In the morning we drove to Pinchot Court and backed the truck up to the driveway. That way the lift gate was lowered only a few steps from the side gate and the carry distance was short. We also set cones around the truck as we do on every job.
Before moving anything we laid floor runners down to protect the floors inside the house. The family had pre-packed the TV, so I placed it upright and secured it in our truck. Ivan took apart the queen bed frame and Andrey disassembled the kid's bed frame. Ivan also unscrewed the legs of the dining table. All the furniture pieces were wrapped in our moving blankets before leaving the house. I helped each of them carry the bed frames and the table out into the truck. Then Andrey and I loaded the loveseat. Ivan brought all the boxes, including fragile ones from the kitchen and the air fryer. Andrey and I carried three chairs and the bookcase. Ivan brought the tall mirror that the family had pre-packed. Using our hand trucks we wheeled the two dressers, the stationary exercise bike, the two cabinets, the desk with the office chair, and the two nightstands. We placed the two mattresses upright along the truck's wall.
Delivery on Dogwood Road
On Dogwood Road we parked at the curb. We laid floor runners along the carry path. Andrey and I carried the two dressers up the stairs to the bedrooms. The stairs had a turn and we had to tilt the dressers a few times. Ivan brought the tall mirror up the stairs and placed it in the living room. The stationary exercise bike, the bookcase, the TV, the two cabinets, and the desk with the office chair went up the stairs to the living room on the second floor. Andrey and I carried the two nightstands up to the bedrooms. Then Ivan helped us carry the bed frames and mattresses upstairs. Andrey and Ivan reassembled each bed frame in its bedroom. After that Andrey placed the mattresses on top. I brought the boxes inside and placed them in the rooms the family had designated. Then Ivan and I carried the dining table into the kitchen where I reattached the legs. In the meantime Andrey brought the three chairs and the air fryer. Ivan and I brought the loveseat into the living room.
By the time we left Dogwood Road, the queen bed frame and the kid's one were back together with the mattresses on top, the dining table was standing on its legs. I placed the fragile boxes on top of it. The loveseat was placed in the living room.
